About Us

Founded in 2016, Afrodancenewyork (ADNY) is a platform that celebrates diversity, communities, and global culture. We aim to spread, embrace and share the diverse range of community movements and empower their interactions with art & business in general.

ADNY provides an authentic space to celebrate diversity, community, and global culture. ADNY centers on the global African, Caribbean, and African American experiences and stories from the diaspora. We want to be the voice for the unheard and unseen. Bring more recognition to Afro arts and expressions.

Who is ADNY's audience? 

We create a safe space that empowers Black people and people of the African and Caribbean Diaspora, LGBTQ+ and people with disabilities. We welcome people of different social and cultural backgrounds to learn, express themselves through music and dance and connect with others. Each of our activities is welcoming to a wide range of ages in a mix of programming: special workshops; performances, interviews, and panels with artists; film screenings; and performances.
